CrossFit Wheelhouse provides you with knowledgeable coaches and a powerful community to help you reach your goals and get you in the best shape of your life.
No matter where you start your fitness journey, you will be pushed to become a better version of yourself.
No matter your fitness goals, we are here to empower you along the way.
Whether you're a seasoned athlete, a busy parent, or just trying to get active, CrossFit is for everyone. Every movement and workout can be adjusted to meet you where you're at.
The very first thing you will discover is that CrossFit does not discriminate. Whether you are young at heart or have just completed your 50th marathon, or are recovering from injury or healing a broken heart, whether walking the dog is the only exercise you’ve had in years, or you’re someone training for the Iditarod…We will help you achieve your fitness goals. One of the things that makes CrossFit so unique is our community of people from literally every walk of life: stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. CrossFit bodies – our bodies – come in every imaginable size, shape, and age; and yet, our workouts every day are designed for anyone to do them. Yes, anyone.
We believe in supporting people who are ready to take action and give them everything they need to crush their goals. It's why our members keep coming back for more.
How do I sign up for a free trial?
Fill out one of our contact forms with all of your details, and we will contact you to schedule your free trial.
How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.
I heard that CrossFitters use their own language, can you help me with the terms?
Sure! This is a great link that will help get you started – http://greatist.com/fitness/ultimate-guide-crossfit-lingo. Word of caution: No need to be intimidated by this… ☺ We’ll walk you through it all!
What sets you apart from other gyms?
We know you may have a lot of choices on where to workout. What’s best… A treadmill at home? The gym down the street that is $15/month? A CrossFit membership? We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out.
How often do you recommend coming to CrossFit?
If you’re just starting up, we recommend coming three days/week for your first couple weeks, then build to four, then five. Once you’re up to five days per week, we recommend building in two recovery days per week.
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a fitness program that will change your life. By its definition, it uses "constantly varied functional movement preformed at a relative high intensity". As a truly functional program, the difficulty level of our daily workout is designed to be increased or decreased depending upon the individual. Daily Workouts could include things such as weightlifting, gymnastics, cardio, and general conditioning. All of our workouts are designed to improve overall strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, endurance, and agility.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No! No matter what your current fitness level is, we have the fitness program that is right for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
Our class programming will include a strength portion in which you’ll work on something like the deadlift, squat, or Olympic lifts (clean & jerk or snatch) or you may work on a gymnastics skill like handstand push-ups. After the strength or skill portion of the class is complete, most days will involve a workout that can be anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes or more.
